Barolo castle was born with a defensive function. became a noble residence, was transformed in a school. Here some italian Risorgimento protagonists passed.

Today it hosts WiMu, Wine museum, because here one of the most well-known wine all over the world was born: barolo wine. WiMu tells the wine and its relationship with human-beings, across eras and civilisations and declined in each artistic expression.

The narration is interactive and emotional, unique and evocative.

WiMu is closed  for the winter season until 1st March

will be open in the weekends 2nd/3rd and 9th/10th March  from 10.30 a.m. until 6.00 p.m., last admission 5.00 p.m.

Official opening: from 16th March every days from 10.30 a.m. until 7.00 p.m. last admission 6.00 p.m.
